This weekend, Street and Glastonbury are alive with an eclectic mix of events that are sure to captivate locals and visitors alike. From music to history, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Let's dive into the weekend's lineup and plan your adventure!

In Glastonbury, the weekend festivities kick off with the Somerset Youth Orchestra Easter Concert at St John the Baptist's Church. On Friday from 19:30 to 21:30, immerse yourself in the vibrant sounds of talented young musicians. Meanwhile, sports enthusiasts can catch the Hull FC vs Huddersfield Giants match at The Market House from 16:00 to 18:00 on Saturday, followed by an evening of Alex Roberts' music at the Avalon Constitutional Club from 19:00 to 23:00. The same night, The King Arthur hosts Hells Bells for a rock-filled evening from 19:00 to 23:00.

For those looking for a unique night out, Ribble takes the stage at The Riflemans Arms at 21:00 on Saturday, promising an unforgettable performance.

Over in Street, the laughs are guaranteed with comedian Paul Foot performing at Strode Theatre all weekend. It's a perfect pick for those in need of a good chuckle.

Back in Glastonbury, The King Arthur continues its lineup of live music with a special performance titled "Glastonbury denizens rejoice!" at 20:00 on Saturday. For a soulful Sunday evening, join the Sea Shanty and Folk Song Singalong at The Riflemans Arms from 19:30.

17th Century re-enactment group Taunton Garrison will be in the Abbey Grounds on the 6th April for their pre-season training day.

History enthusiasts won't want to miss the Taunton Garrison Training at Glastonbury Abbey from 10:00 to 17:00 on Saturday, offering a glimpse into the past. Meanwhile, the Time Travelling Carpenter - Medieval Painter awaits at Glastonbury Abbey from 13:00 to 16:00 on Saturday, providing a hands-on historical experience.

For families, "Easter on the Farm" continues at the Somerset Rural Life Museum until the 14th of April, offering a festive and educational outing. And for those intrigued by ancient crafts, the Roman masks and mosaics workshop at Avalon Archaeology in Westhay from 10:00 to 17:00 on Saturday is a must-visit.
