Street and Glastonbury have a packed weekend schedule with a mix of Remembrance events, creative workshops, and live music performances. Music lovers can enjoy Wille Edwards Duo at the Avalon Constitutional Club in Glastonbury from 7:15 pm, or head to the Art Bank Café in Shepton Mallet for TwoManTing, offering live music from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

For rock fans, Heavy Psych from Japan kicks off at The King Arthur in Glastonbury, continuing into Saturday for an electrifying two-day experience.

On Saturday morning, Wells is hosting the One World Fair consultation at the Town Hall at 10:00 am, offering residents a chance to discuss community initiatives. Also in Wells, the Act to Adapt Consultation will be held at the same venue, focusing on local development and community needs.

Those interested in reiki and sound healing can explore the Reiki Sound Healing Weekend at the Miracles Room in Glastonbury from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Or, for a festive craft experience, the Christmas Stained Glass Workshop at Somerset Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury runs from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Glastonbury's FairyWhispering Workshop with Karen Kay at Chalice Well, starting on Saturday and continuing through Sunday, offers a magical insight into fairies and folklore.

For those seeking local festivities, the Red Brick Building in Glastonbury is hosting a Palestinian Dance Night Fundraiser on Saturday evening from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm.

Sunday, 10 November

On Remembrance Sunday, Wells, Glastonbury, Street, and Shepton Mallet will all hold commemorative services. In Wells, the service begins at St Cuthbert's Church at 10:30 am, followed by a wreath-laying at the war memorial and a parade along High Street to the Harry Patch Memorial. The events continue at Wells Cathedral with a special Sunday Eucharist at 10:30 am and a 3:00 pm performance of Fauré's Requiem, with details available here.

Glastonbury's Remembrance Sunday events start at 11:00 am with wreath-laying at the High Street War Memorial, followed by a service at St John's Church at 11:15 am. Street's commemorations will begin with a parade, forming up at 2:15 pm at the Royal British Legion, proceeding through Farm Road and the High Street to Merriman Park for a service and wreath-laying. Shepton Mallet's Remembrance Service will take place at The Cenotaph at 10:35 am, followed by a parade to St Peter and St Paul's Church for a service at 11:20 am. More on Shepton's events can be found here.

For family-friendly fun, Wells will host DINOVEMBER at Pop-Up Play Village at St Thomas' Church from 2:30 pm to 3:45 pm, offering children an interactive play experience.

Glastonbury's King Arthur venue will round off the weekend with a Michael Collings Sunday Session at 8:00 pm—a relaxed evening of live music to bring the weekend to a close.
