Brunelcare's Glastonbury Care Home in Glastonbury, Somerset has launched a new day‑care service aimed at supporting the local community with enriching activities and social engagement.

The service is available from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, 365 days a year, with flexible times to help families. A free half‑day trial is being offered to anyone interested in experiencing the day‑care service.

Clinical Lead Nurse Nisha Binumon said: "At Glastonbury Care Home, we're proud to be part of such a wonderful community. Offering day care services gives us the chance to welcome residents, make new friends, and create meaningful moments together."

The home, rated 'Good' overall with 'Outstanding' for caring by the Care Quality Commission, is staffed by qualified professional carers and nurses, including specialists in dementia care. Guests benefit from home‑cooked nutritious meals, beautiful gardens, a sensory room and a wide range of daily activities designed to promote wellbeing and engagement.

A daughter of a resident said: "All the staff from managers to the cleaners were amazing. Showing my mum respect, dignity, care and most of all a smile and encouragement… The daily activities were a joy to attend, and the staff ensured that everyone enjoyed themselves, whilst being looked after in every way."

The home also offers respite care and welcomes permanent residents, meaning families have multiple support options. To find out more or to book a free trial day‑care session, contact the home on 01458 836 800.
