A Street wedding venue is urging newly engaged couples to book early after reporting increased enquiries following Valentine's weekend.

The Loft, based in a restored Art Deco building in Street, Somerset, says it has been contacted by couples across Mid Somerset looking to secure dates for engagement parties and wedding receptions.

Valentine's Day is traditionally one of the most popular times of year for proposals, and venues often see a spike in bookings in the weeks that follow.

Owner Mark, who has more than 35 years' experience in the weddings and events industry, said demand is already building for future dates.

The Loft offers wedding packages catering for a range of celebrations, from smaller gatherings of 20 to 30 guests to sit-down wedding breakfasts for up to 100 and evening receptions for as many as 200.

The venue provides in-house catering and a dedicated wedding co-ordinator as part of its packages.

Couples interested in hosting their celebration in Street and the wider Mid Somerset area are being encouraged to arrange viewings and check availability for 2025 and 2026.
