Bingo, bottomless fizz and a disco before tea – The Loft brings big nights out to Street without the late ones

If you fancy a big night out without the 2am regret, The Loft Lounge & Bar in Street has got your summer sorted – with daytime discos, drag queens, bingo jackpots and steaks for one (or two, if you must).
It all kicks off on Sunday 20 July with the Over 30s Daytime Disco. Doors open at 2pm, the dancing kicks off at 2.30pm, and you're out by 6pm – no need for a babysitter or a taxi home. Just £5 on the door, no booking needed, and you can be on the sofa with your slippers by 6.30.
Then things crank up on Sunday 10 August, when The Loft goes full sequin with a Drag Brunch starring the fabulous Miss Demeanor McCall and Misty Monique. Expect singing, dancing, laughs and no shortage of sass.
It's £30 a ticket, or chuck in an extra £10 for bottomless prosecco between 1pm and 3pm. Brunch is served at 1.45pm – and if you're not humming show tunes by 4, you're doing it wrong. Booking is essential.
Still not enough? Bingo's back on Sunday 27 July, with a £100 cash jackpot up for grabs. Doors open at 6pm, it's eyes down at 7pm, and someone's leaving with more than just bragging rights.
And if your idea of a wild Wednesday involves steak and wine, The Loft's got you too. Steak Night runs every Wednesday from 6pm – two sirloins and a bottle of wine for £40, or go it alone for £20 with all the trimmings and a drink of your choice. No awkward third wheel vibes – singles are welcome.
The Loft is on Leigh Road, Street, and whether you're from Glastonbury, Shepton or just wandering in, this summer's looking lively – and you'll still be home before the dog starts worrying.
