Glastonbury Abbey will open its gates for free to National Lottery players on Thursday, 18 December, and Friday, 19 December.
Visitors simply need to show a valid National Lottery ticket or scratchcard to gain entry on either day. The promotion is part of a national initiative thanking players for their support of heritage projects.
Funds raised through the Lottery contributed to the Abbey Yard project, a major upgrade completed in April 2025 under the Glastonbury Town Deal. The work included a revamped entrance, new café, gift shop, and a flexible community space.
The Abbey's ongoing 'Kids Go Free' scheme will also apply on both dates for children accompanying eligible adults.
