Glastonbury Abbey is throwing open its gates for free next week — but only if you've played the lottery.

Anyone who shows a valid National Lottery ticket or scratchcard on Thursday, 18 December or Friday, 19 December will get free entry as a thank you for helping to fund the site's £1.3m upgrade.

The Abbey Yard revamp, completed in April, transformed the visitor entrance with a new café, gift shop and community space. It was funded in part by the National Lottery Heritage Fund through the Glastonbury Town Deal.

The abbey's 'Kids Go Free' offer also applies — so children can come in free with a ticket-holding adult.
