Glastonbury Abbey Christmas Market returns on 28 and 29 November 2026, with makers and traders now invited to apply for stalls.

Glastonbury Abbey is looking for artists, makers and independent traders to take part in its Christmas Market after confirming the event will return for 2026.

The market will take over the historic abbey grounds on Saturday, 28 November and Sunday, 29 November, coinciding with Glastonbury's annual Frost Fayre weekend.

And anyone tempted by a stall could have quite an audience passing by. Organisers say around 14,000 people visited the abbey market over the weekend in 2025.

Applications have now opened, with artists and makers particularly encouraged to put themselves forward for a pitch among the abbey ruins.

In its call for traders, the abbey said: "Calling all makers and traders! Would you like to showcase your work in the magical surroundings of Glastonbury Abbey this winter?"

Previous Christmas markets have brought dozens of artisan traders into the grounds, offering gifts, crafts, food and drink.

The event runs alongside the wider Frost Fayre celebrations in Glastonbury, which traditionally bring festive entertainment, shopping and community activities into the town.

Visitors have also previously been able to explore the abbey grounds free of charge during the festive weekend.

For local independent businesses and craftspeople, this year's market offers another opportunity to get their products in front of thousands of people during one of Glastonbury's busiest pre-Christmas weekends.

Organisers are encouraging anyone with "something special to share for Christmas" to apply, with the deadline set for Sunday, 1 November.
