Reform UK Taunton and Wellington Branch Holds Major Annual Event
Following Reform UK’s National Conference in Birmingham, the Taunton and Wellington branch held another major annual event in Taunton, attracting members, councillors and supporters from across Somerset and other parts of the West of England.
The event opened with a moving tribute to Ann Widdecombe, which had also been shown at the National Conference. Ann and Linda Kemkaren, Leader of Kent County Council, were speakers at last year’s local event.

This year’s speakers included Danny Kruger MP, who represents Devizes in Wiltshire. He outlined his role in helping to prepare Reform UK for the prospect of forming a future government, including work to enable ministers to regain greater control from the Cabinet Office and its 12,000 staff.

The second guest speaker was George Finch, who, at just 20 years of age, leads Warwickshire County Council as well as Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council. Both speakers provided an inspiring message to members, encouraging them to become actively involved and to prepare for forthcoming local and national elections.

The event was introduced by branch leaders Robert Holland and Stephen Tierney, while the organising committee was once again led by Louise Peace.

The successful event brought together Reform UK members and supporters from across the region and provided an opportunity to share ideas, hear from leading figures within the party and encourage greater participation in campaigning ahead of future elections.
