Fireworks, bonfires and family fun are returning across Somerset this November, with events planned in Shepton Mallet, Wells and Somerton.

In Shepton Mallet, the Rotary Club's annual fireworks night will take place on Saturday 1 November at West Shepton Playing Fields. Gates open at 6.15pm, with the bonfire and main display lighting up the skies shortly after. Visitors can enjoy hot food, sweets, coffee and a licensed bar. Tickets cost £4 for adults and £2 for children, with under-fours going free. Parking is limited and dogs are not permitted on site.

In Wells, Wells City Football Club will host its annual fireworks and Halloween party on Friday 31 October. The children's party starts at 5.00pm, followed by a fireworks display at 6.30pm, and karaoke and disco into the evening for adults. Tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for children, or £15 for families (two adults and three children). Under-fours go free. Food and drink stalls will be available throughout the night.

In Somerton, the Grand Fireworks Display and Disco returns to the Recreation Ground on Saturday 8 November, organised by the Recreation Ground Trust with support from the Town Council. The event is free to attend, with food from Bennys Fish and Chip Van, Pim's Thai Street Food, I Love Pizza Van, and Somerton RFC serving burgers and hotdogs. The Sports Club opens at 6pm, the disco starts at 6.30pm, and fireworks will be set off at 7.00pm.

Residents are reminded to walk where possible or park considerately to avoid congestion and respect nearby neighbours.

With three major displays within easy reach of Glastonbury, Street, Wells and Shepton Mallet, Somerset families have plenty of choice to celebrate Bonfire Night 2025 in style.
