A Honda CRV was broken into while parked on Ashwell Lane in Glastonbury between 2pm and 3:15pm on 29th August.

The owner returned to find the rear window smashed and a camera bag stolen from the vehicle.

A police spokesperson said: "We're appealing for any witnesses, CCTV footage, or information. Community cooperation is essential in solving such incidents."

The police also issued a warning about leaving valuables in vehicles.

"We strongly advise against leaving any valuables such as camera bags, laptops, or phones in your car. Thieves are opportunistic; make it harder for them to target you," said the spokesperson.

Car security tips:

- Lock your vehicle securely.

- Park in well-lit or CCTV-monitored areas.

- Use additional security measures, like steering wheel locks.

For those with information, contact the police on 101 and quote the reference number 5223211111, stating NHW. Anonymous tips can be provided via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
