Skaters are being urged to stay away from Glastonbury Skate Park, which remains closed despite the easing of lockdown restrictions.

Glastonbury Town Council have asked Glastonbury Nub News to share their request that users respect the guidance of social distancing and stay away from the facility.

The council understands the confusion that some having heard that parks are open consider this to apply to the skate park, yet unfortunately the skate park is classed as a facility similar to play equipment and remains closed.

Town clerk Gerard Tucker said: "I understand how frustrating this must be for people who want to use it, yet we must all do our bit to stay safe, alert and save the NHS."
