Schoolkids set to steal the spotlight at Glastonbury and Street’s Mid-Somerset Music Spectacular

Move over Glastonbury Festival – there's another musical takeover in town, and this time the stars aren't superstars, they're schoolkids.
The Mid-Somerset Music Spectacular returns to Strode Theatre on Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 June, with two nights of toe-tapping, heartwarming performances from pupils across Glastonbury, Street and beyond.
Now in its 35th year, the event is a firm favourite on the local calendar. Organised by Glastonbury & Street Lions Club and Somerset Music, the show brings together young musicians, singers and drama groups to perform under the lights – many for the very first time.
Each night promises something different, with a brand-new line-up of talent taking to the stage on both evenings. Expect everything from solo singers and school choirs to instrument ensembles and dramatic moments, all served up with a side of nerves and a whole lot of heart.
It's not just about the applause either – proceeds from the concert will support Somerset Music and children's causes across the county.
Tickets are just £2.50 to £8 and are available now through the Strode Theatre website.
So if you fancy an evening of future stars, big talent and even bigger effort, this is one show you won't want to miss.
