Christmas is so close you can taste it in the air. Anything and everything is getting mulled, the Holy Thorn is about to get snipped, the kids are bouncing off the walls and the nights are cold and frosty.

So, obviously, Santa is warming up his sleigh and is getting ready to come to Street and Glastonbury - with a little help from King William Carnival Club.

The club has been helping Father Christmas on his rounds, ensuring he sees as many people as possible before the big day.

It's important to note that even the best-laid plans can go awry and Santa's schedule may be forced to change from time to time, depending on how busy the big man gets, and that sometimes even Santa has bad weather to contend with.

He'll be starting his visits at 6pm each night, with he carnival club announcing which areas he'll be visiting here, with the information released each morning.

This event serves as a significant fundraiser for the King William Carnival Club, with all donations going towards building their cart for the next year's Somerset County Guy Fawkes Carnivals Association.

Additionally, the funds will support other club activities, including costumes, makeup, and props.

The club has been working hard to update Santa's sleigh, ensuring a magical experience for everyone.

Daily updates on Santa's locations will be available on the club's Facebook page, although they advise that some changes might be made on the night, since Santa is very busy at this time of year.
