With RITS Day cancelled this year, organisers will keep raising money for charity by introducing RITS Bike Meets.

Motorcycle enthusiasts and riders alike will now have the opportunity to participate in the thrilling RITS Bike Meets, which are set to take place on multiple dates throughout the year.

Riders In The Sky (RITS) takes place annually at Tor Leisure Centre , with a ride-out followed by a family fun day.

Last year's event raised £11,509.59 for Dorset and Somerset and saw 440 bikes ride out in memory of Lee Baker, who was killed on November 8, 2010.

Since the founding of RITS Day, it has raised a total £101,597.96 for charity in his honour.

But with Tor Leisure Centre set to undergo a £2m upgrade as part of town deal funding, organisers have announced that the event will be taking a break this year.

Instead, the RITS Bike Meets will cater to bikers seeking the perfect excuse to hit the road, raise money for good causes and embrace their passion for motorcycles.

Mark your calendars for the following dates: May 28th, July 2nd, July 30th, and August 27th of 2023. From 10 am to 4 pm, enthusiasts will have ample time to revel in the world of motorcycles.

Whether you are a seasoned rider or simply interested in immersing yourself in the bike culture, the RITS Bike Meets offer something for everyone. Alongside the invigorating rides, attendees can enjoy the lively ambience and a wide range of attractions.

The bar will be open, allowing visitors to quench their thirst and mingle with fellow enthusiasts. Additionally, there will be music, food, and a chance to purchase exclusive RITS merchandise.

To capture the memorable moments of the RITS Bike Meets, Will Badman Photography will be present - whether you're striking a pose with your prized motorcycle or capturing candid shots of the vibrant atmosphere, these professional photographers will ensure you have lasting memories.

The RITS Bike Meets aim to bring together riders, enthusiasts, and the local community to raise funds for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

So mark your calendars, prepare your motorcycles, and join the team at Tor Sports and Leisure Centre on Sunday, May 28th, to kickstart the RITS Bike Meets.
