10th Nov 2022 | Local News

Residents of Street and Glastonbury will be encouraged to join with communities up and down the land paying their respects to the fallen in World Wars and other global conflicts on Sunday for Remembrance Day.

On Sunday, starting at 10.40am, a parade will make its way from Glastonbury Town Hall up to St John's Church in the High Street.

At 11am, a Remembrance Service will take place at the war memorial outside the church, followed by a service inside. Following the service, the procession will parade back down the High Street and back to the town hall.

That afternoon, there will be a parade in Street, starting at the Royal British Legion on Farm Road at 2pm, with visits to attend the memorial spots before an official wreath-laying at Merriman Park.
