Release of persons trapped at Glastonbury - Shepton Mallet

Date: 02.08.2019Time: 20:37Location: Glastonbury - Shepton MalletThe fire service received a call to a female at Glastonbury festival who was trapped by her leg under a concrete post. A fire engine from Shepton Mallet attended the site along with the ambulance service and got to work to release the female.Crews used electronic lifting gear and blocks to lift the concrete post and release the casualty. Injuries were sustained to the casualties upper and lower left leg. Duty of care was left with the site manager and paramedic.These are the full and final details of the incident.
