Year 2 pupils at Millfield Pre-Prep School in Edgarley have raised more than £1,300 for the Guide Dogs organisation.

The children undertook the Walk Your Socks Off Challenge, to walk 50,000 steps (20 miles) each, to raise money for the charity.

Many of the children walked more than 100,000 steps. The class' goal was to raise £400, however their current fundraising total stands at £1,343.

The pupils were inspired to help after meeting Alex from Guide Dogs and his dog Homer last term, who taught them about the charity and how it helps those who are blind or partially sighted.
