Police investigate dog bite incident between Street and Glastonbury after social media post sparks concern

Avon and Somerset Police are investigating a dog bite incident that occurred in the fields between Street and Glastonbury, following a social media post that has raised concerns among local residents and dog owners.

According to the post, a woman was walking her dog by the River Brue when her pet was suddenly attacked by a large Doberman-type dog.

The woman sought treatment at A&E and reported the incident to the police.

Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed they are aware of the incident and are working with Somerset Council to investigate.

They are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in their enquiries.
