A man has been arrested after two women were left injured during a disturbance in Glastonbury town centre.

Police rushed to an address in Market Place at around 7.45pm on Tuesday evening (23 September) following reports of a serious incident.

Officers arrived to find two women had suffered injuries — not believed to be serious — but both were left badly shaken.

A man in his 30s was cuffed at the scene. Avon and Somerset Police say enquiries are ongoing.

No further details have yet been confirmed about what sparked the incident, or if those involved knew each other.
