Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a single-vehicle collision on the B3151 near Street, which left two people requiring hospital treatment.

The incident occurred around 10.40pm on Tuesday, 27th August, at the Marshall's Elm crossroads junction.

A black Range Rover Evoque, travelling along Cockrod, crossed the B3151 and collided with a wall.

Emergency services, including police, fire, and ambulance crews, responded to the scene. The driver and front seat passenger, both in their 70s, were trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by the fire service. They were taken to the hospital by ambulance but were thankfully discharged the following day.

Police are particularly interested in speaking with the occupants of a grey Mercedes car that stopped at the scene. Officers believe these individuals may have witnessed the collision or have information that could assist the investigation.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact the police on 101, quoting reference number 5224226640.
