Police addressing anti-social behaviour in Gravenchon Way and Portland Park area
Local police have acknowledged the increasing concerns about antisocial behaviour (ASB) in the Gravenchon Way and Portland Park areas of Street.
Anti-social behaviour, commonly called ASB, covers a broad range of activities that cause harm, distress, or alarm to individuals or the community. This can include anything from vandalism and graffiti to more menacing activities like verbal abuse or public disorder.
Businesses on the estate have reported a rise in disturbances caused by a small group of individuals, leading to heightened community concern.
Additionally, there have been reports of minor ASB incidents around the Portland Park and The Batch vicinity.
In response to these issues, the police have affirmed their commitment to maintaining regular patrols in these areas to curb disruptive activities.
The police are prepared to take positive action on any ASB reports, including the review of CCTV footage to identify and address the individuals responsible for these disturbances. This approach aims to ensure the safety and peace of the local community and business owners.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We are aware of the concerns raised by the community and local businesses regarding the recent spate of anti-social behaviour in the Gravenchon Way and Portland Park areas. We are committed to addressing these issues head-on through regular patrols and positive enforcement actions. Our goal is to maintain the peace and safety of our community, and we encourage residents to report any ASB incidents to us promptly."
