It's that time again – your weekly scroll through what's hiring locally, and this week's got everything from catering gigs and dental chairs to classroom chaos and warehouse wisdom.

Whether you're job-hunting or just job-curious, here's what's fresh around Street and Glastonbury.

Let's start in Compton Dundon, where Royal Canin is looking for a weekend Key Operator to join the factory team. This isn't your average shift work – you'll be helping to keep production flowing, coordinating activities, and stepping up as team lead when needed. Previous experience in FMCG or food processing helps, but if you've got the right skills and stamina, here's where to explore the Royal Canin role.

In Glastonbury, a local school is on the lookout for a part-time Year 3 teacher starting in Term 5. You'll be planning, delivering and marking lessons, supporting extracurriculars and generally wrangling eight-year-olds with grace and patience. If you're a qualified teacher and ready for a flexible role that still makes a difference, take a look at the Year 3 teaching post here.

In Street, there's a strong healthcare showing this week. First up: audiologists. A private hearing care provider is looking for a qualified Hearing Aid Dispenser to take on a field-based role, with a solid salary, company car or allowance, and a generous commission scheme. You'll be doing full hearing tests, providing solutions and offering top-tier aftercare. If that sounds like your kind of gig, find the audiologist details here.

Also in Street, a dental practice is hiring a full-time Dental Nurse. You'll be providing chairside support, sterilising instruments and reassuring nervous patients – all with a steady hand and a friendly smile. Experience in a practice is required, but you'll get ongoing training and professional development. Read more about the Dental Nurse opportunity.

Meanwhile, if your skills lean more towards serving up meals than checking molars, Chartwells in Street is hiring in hospitality. There's a full-time Chef position up for grabs – you'll need experience and a Food Hygiene cert, but if you're passionate about great food and steady hours, this might be your next step.

If you'd rather be managing than chopping, there's a Catering Supervisor role also available. You'll be leading a team, making sure the kitchens and counters run smoothly, and probably fielding every unexpected question during the lunch rush. Take a closer look at the Catering Supervisor listing.

New to the kitchen but keen to get started? Chartwells is also looking for a Catering Assistant in Street. You'll help prepare food, serve customers, and keep things running behind the scenes. Enthusiasm counts just as much as experience here. Get the full brief on the Catering Assistant role.

Over in Glastonbury, the local Motor Parts Direct branch is hiring a Parts Sales Advisor. If you know your way around a parts counter – or just know your way around cars – this could be your chance. Basic salary starts at just under £29k, with sales bonuses and strong career prospects for the right person. Check out the sales advisor position.

That's the current crop for Street and Glastonbury. Whether you're moving careers or just mildly job-flirting, keep your eyes on the Glastonbury jobs board for the latest local updates. You never know what might pop up next.
