Fire crews tackle late-night blaze in Glastonbury industrial building

Firefighters were called to a large blaze in Glastonbury on Friday night (April 4), after a galvanised metal building was reported to be "well alight".
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received the call at around 10.11pm and immediately sent fire engines from Street and Glastonbury to the scene.
On arrival, crews found the building, which measured approximately 8 metres by 5 metres, fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters began tackling the blaze using a hose reel jet and a main jet to bring it under control.
Due to the scale of the fire, an additional engine was requested and dispatched from Wells Fire Station to supply extra water.
The fire was successfully extinguished, and the building sustained damage as a result of the incident.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival at the incident, crews confirmed that one galvanised metal building was well alight. The fire was extinguished using one hose reel jet and one main jet. The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental."
No injuries were reported.
