A home in Street was targeted in broad daylight last week – with a bathroom window smashed in what police are treating as criminal damage.

The incident happened between 2pm and 3pm on Wednesday, 12 June, at a property on Somerton Road. The resident called officers after discovering the broken window.

Police have now launched an appeal for information and are urging anyone with CCTV footage or dashcam video from the area to come forward.

A spokesperson said: "We're asking residents to check any CCTV or footage from the area and to contact us with any information, no matter how small it may seem."

The reference number for the incident is 5225164154, and anyone with details is asked to call 101 and quote NHW. Reports can also be made anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Neighbourhood officers say they will continue patrolling the area on foot, bike and in vehicles.
