Man killed in crash on A361 between Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet

A man has died following a serious crash on the A361 between Glastonbury and Pilton. The collision, involving a Lambretta scooter, a Polestar car, a VW Transporter and a Range Rover Sport, occurred at about 2.25pm on Wednesday 17 September.
The scooter rider was taken to hospital but sadly died of his injuries the next day. His family have been informed and are being supported by a specially trained officer. There were no other reported injuries.
The road was closed while police carried out investigation work; it was reopened a short time later.
Police are now appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dash‑cam, mobile phone or CCTV footage to call 101, quoting reference 5225262133.
