A man has been found dead at an address in Somerton Road in Street.

Police were called at just after 9am this morning (Sunday, July 24) and the road was closed while the circumstances were investigated.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "At just after 9am today (Sunday 24 July), officers were called to attend an incident in which a man was found with injuries in Somerton Road, Street. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"At this time, the man's death is being treated as unexplained but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. Officers will now prepare a file to submit to the Coroner's Office."

The man has not been named by police.
