Man charged with murder following stabbing of Glastonbury man

Detectives investigating the death of Jonathan Roper, of Glastonbury, charged a 26-year-old man with his murder last night (Wednesday, 29 May).

Jonathan, aged 34, died after being stabbed at a property on Merlin Drive, Wells, on 23 March.

Officers from the Major Crime Investigation Team charged David James Harris, of Merlin Drive, with Jonathan's murder.

Harris was also charged with Section 18 wounding in relation to the assault of another man, aged 40, during the same incident.

He was remanded in custody and will appear before Yeovil Magistrates' Court today (30 May).
