A man has been charged and two others arrested following a pair of incidents in Street and Glastonbury last Friday.
At around 3.30pm on 25 April, Avon and Somerset Police were called to Leigh Road in Street after a male passenger on an incoming bus reported being assaulted. Neighbourhood officers attended and swiftly arrested two individuals at the scene.
The two suspects have since been released on bail as investigations continue.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information to come forward. A spokesperson said:
"If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact Police on 101 quoting reference number 5225116167."
Just hours later, officers were dispatched to Magdelene Street in Glastonbury following reports of a man acting aggressively while intoxicated.
When officers arrived, the man assaulted a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO). He was arrested on the spot and has now been charged with assaulting an emergency worker.
