A man was airlifted to hospital after a three-vehicle crash in Walton yesterday afternoon.

The collision on the A39, near the Walton Gateway, closed the road between Taunton Road and Westway Roundabout just after 3pm.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called at around 3pm on Thursday 6 April) to the A39 Main Street, in Walton near Street, following reports of a three-vehicle road traffic collision.

"The road was closed from Taunton Road to Westway Roundabout while emergency services attend the scene.
