Machinery firm seeking approval that its existing developments near Lydford-on-Fosse are lawful

A machinery company has applied for planning permission to make sure its existing developments near Lydford-on-Fosse are lawful.

A planning application for a certificate of lawful existing development for access, workshop building and hardstanding area at Ash View Farm, Fosse Way, near Lydford-on-Fosse, has been submitted to Mendip District Council by Ashley Beaton.

Mr Beaton runs AM Beaton Ltd, and he has applied to the council to make sure the developments at the farm are classed as general industrial use.

Other planning applications in the Glastonbury area that have been submitted this week to Mendip District Council include:

Replace single glazed sash timber windows and single glazed timber front door at 82 Benedict Street, Glastonbury, is wanted by Ms Wendy Freeman.

Works to TPO trees (M1068) - T1 - common walnut tree, crown reduce by 2-2.5m to previous reduction points at about 8m in height from ground level, and crown raising of low sub-lateral and tertiary branches to a height of 2.5m above ground level at 35 Hood Close, Glastonbury, have been applied for by Tim Jarratt.

Planning applications in the Glastonbury area that have been decided this week by Mendip District Council include:

Approval of details reserved by condition 4 (Surface Water Drainage System) on planning consent 2020/1244/FUL at Wirral Park Service Station, Wirral Park Road, Glastonbury, has been given.

Erection of first-floor side extension, two-storey extension to the rear, and extension of the garage at 24 Holm Oaks, Butleigh, by Mrs A Murphy has been approved.

Proposed works to tree/s in a Conservation Area: T1 (crab apple) - fell, T2 (ornamental cherry) - thin branches (up to 10 per cent) and prune (up to 2m), T3 (silver birch) - prune (up to approximately 4m) at Carrick, High Street, Butleigh, have been approved.
