Looking for a new job or fresh start? Street and Glastonbury job fair aims to open doors

Whether you're fresh out of college, eyeing a career switch, or just keen to see what's out there, a free job fair coming to Street this week could be just the ticket.
The event, hosted by Street and Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce, takes place at the Strode Theatre foyer on Thursday 24 April from 10am to 1.30pm – and there's no need to sign up in advance.
With local businesses and training providers on hand, the fair promises plenty of opportunities for jobseekers to explore new roles, upskill, and make connections.
Organisers say the event is open to everyone, whether you're actively job hunting or just thinking about your next step.
"There's no pressure – just come along, have a chat, and see what's on offer," said a spokesperson for the Chamber. "It's a chance to explore options you might not have considered, all in one place."
The event runs for three and a half hours, and visitors can drop in at any time. There's a large free car park just past the Theatre and College, making it easy to pop in even if you're short on time.
