Melhuish & Saunders were handing over food today (December 19) in Morrisons supermarket, Glastonbury.

The family-run construction business, based in Wirral Park Road, led a Reverse Advent Calendar Campaign in December - inviting businesses in Landmark House to support with donations of food to help those less fortunate in the local community.

Grace Church, WCBS, Somerset FA and Melhuish & Saunders combined forces and were pleased to be able to hand over the proceeds today to Michael and Jaqueline of Bridging The Gap (Food Bank) which were then uploaded straight away (in the pouring rain) into a volunteer's car for delivery.

Michael said: "Please remember that we still need more donations in the new year - the need for food donations does not stop at Christmas."

Morrisons has a collection point near the photo booth and all donations are very welcome.
