Glastonbury is gearing up for its third Pride celebration on July 28, featuring a vibrant march and a range of exciting activities. This year's event promises to be bigger and better, with a focus on unity, diversity, and love.

The festivities kick off with a brunch at the Queen of Cups from 10am to 12pm. At 11am, Morris dancers will entertain at the Market Cross, leading up to the lighting of the Unity Candle and a blessing from the Priest of Antinious at noon. The Market Cross will remain lively with entertainment until 1pm, featuring the Rainbow Bar and other performances.

The highlight of the day, the Pride march, will begin at 1pm, with the Dragon Drummers setting the rhythm. Participants are encouraged to grab a handhold on the Intercom flag and join the march. For those who prefer to stay at the Market Cross, entertainment will continue until 2pm.

After the march, the celebration moves to St Ben's church on Benedict Street, where Morris dancers will perform from 2pm to 3pm. The day concludes with the Bonaroo at Ben's starting at 3pm, featuring stalls, free food, and a variety of entertainers. MP Sarah Dyke will officially open the event, and the raffle drawing will take place at 5.45pm. The festivities will wrap up by 7pm.

In addition to the main events, spiritual and contemplative spaces will be available at the URC, St John's church, The Hub with the Quakers, and The Temple of Avalon, providing a serene environment for reflection and connection.

Organisers have received generous donations for raffle prizes from local businesses, and proceeds will support LGBTQAI+ charities, including Mermaids, 2BU Somerset, and SWISH. Attendees are encouraged to bring cash for raffle tickets and food purchases at the church.

Come and celebrate unity through diversity at Glastonbury Pride 2024. Embrace the joy of expressing your unique individuality and join the community in a day filled with love, glitter, and rainbows.
