Imagine That Book Fair to showcase local authors in Street

By Alison Knight (writing as May Ellis 28th Nov 2024

Seventeen authors are set to gather for the Imagine That Book Fair in Street this Saturday, 30th November, offering a diverse selection of books for readers of all ages.

The event will take place at the Quaker Meeting House on High Street from 10am to 3pm, giving visitors a chance to meet local writers, both traditionally and self-published. Attendees can purchase signed copies of books while enjoying cakes and hot drinks.

Organiser Alison Knight, who writes the Clarks Factory Girls saga series under the pen name May Ellis, said: "We wanted to support local talent and give book-lovers the opportunity to meet the authors. Everyone is welcome to come along to this special event. It's the perfect place to find a special present for the booklovers in your life."

The authors at the fair collectively boast over 160 published works, promising something for everyone. The event is free to attend, and organisers hope it will offer a chance to celebrate local literary talent while providing a festive shopping opportunity for the community.
