After a successful debut last year, the festive ice rink at Clarks Village is set to make a comeback this holiday season.

The Somerset shopping outlet announced that the rink will open its doors from Thursday, November 9, running through to Sunday, January 7. The rink will also be open on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day, providing ample opportunity for visitors to take a spin on the ice.

Covering 550 square metres and made with real ice, the custom-built rink promises to offer a magical skating experience. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the historic Arthur Gillet Trust grounds neighbouring Clarks Village, the undercover and beautifully decorated rink is poised to be a highlight of the eight-week-long Christmas festivities.

Entrance to the ice rink will be conveniently located opposite the outlet's Restaurant Terrace area, where skaters and spectators alike can enjoy a bite to eat post-skating.

Chris Davis, Centre Director at Clarks Village, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, expressed excitement about the rink's return. "The ice rink was tremendously popular last Christmas," Davis said. "It adds a touch of festive sparkle at Clarks Village and offers an extra dimension to create the ultimate Christmas shopping experience."

Skating sessions will last for 45 minutes and are available for pre-booking, with skate hire included in the ticket price. The rink will feature a range of special sessions, including quiet times, discos, and dedicated slots for parents and toddlers. Additional skating aids such as penguin and seal figures, as well as bob skates, will be available for hire. The facility is also wheelchair accessible and offers options for exclusive hire for larger private parties.
