Fast recovery from chronic ain: Somerset Health Practice's unique blend of Eastern and Western therapies redefines Natural Healthcare

If you've ever injured yourself, or had an ache or pain you just can't shift, the chances are that someone has suggested you book in with Somerset Health Practice.

The natural health clinic, based at Meare, has treated hundreds of people from the area and offered relief they've been unable to find elsewhere.

As a renowned osteopath and acupuncturist, Matthew Jackson brings a unique blend of expertise to Somerset Health Practice. His approach to healing combines traditional Eastern with modern Western approaches, providing personalised treatments to help people overcome injuries, pain and chronic conditions.

With her two decades of experience as a registered nurse, Becky Bliss complements Matthew's expertise perfectly. She is a trained practitioner of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, shockwave and laser therapy and is committed to ensuring that patients feel comfortable and cared for.

"Our approach is multi-faceted," explains Matthew. "We offer osteopathy, acupuncture, and Chinese herbal medicine combined with the latest equipment for diagnostics and treatment. In the last few years we have expanded and invested to provide hyperbaric oxygen therapy, laser treatment, shockwave therapy and pulsed electromagnetic therapy. This uniquely comprehensive care can create fast and effective healing."

Matthew's work has brought relief to countless people suffering from back, hip and knee pain, Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis.

"Patients tell us they are happy and relieved when they can stop taking painkillers, avoid surgery and get their life back," he says.

"We are also now successfully treating successful sportspeople for injuries – including single and multiple fractures. Our equipment is not yet available in most hospitals but if you're in a competitive sport you need to get back into action as quickly as possible.

"After a combination of HBOT, laser therapy and PEMF plus herbal formulas, one motorcyclist with three fractures reported his healing time reduced from a predicted 12 weeks to just one month, allowing him to get back to work and prevent his tyre fitting business from collapsing."

Matthew's passion for herbal medicine has resulted in the creation of Expert Herbalist, a platform that offers effective combination formulas for a range of conditions, making this ancient practice accessible to all.

What sets Somerset Health Practice apart is not just their broad spectrum of treatments but their unwavering commitment to their patients. They take great care to work in partnership with their patients' medical practitioners, ensuring that their treatments complement any ongoing conventional therapies.

"We see our role as guides on our patients' journey to optimal health," says Becky. "We're here to advise, support, and provide treatments that enable people to live their lives to the fullest. Our patients show us how integrated, personalised care can make a real difference."

"The beauty of natural health lies in its capacity to treat the individual, not just the condition. It's about improving quality of life, not just managing symptoms. And at Somerset Health Practice, we are seeing just how transformative that can be."
