Glastonbury town centre fight leads to two arrests
By Laura Linham 11th Jun 2026
Two men were arrested after police responded to reports of a fight in Glastonbury town centre last week. Officers said they were called after information and footage were sent in by a member of the public about disorder in St Ben's Churchyard.
Avon and Somerset Police said the two males were quickly identified and arrested in connection with the incident. Both have since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Police said the bail conditions include exclusion from parts of Glastonbury town centre.
In a message to the community, police said: "We want to be clear — violence and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated, and we will take robust action to deal with those involved."
Officers also thanked residents who report incidents and provide information. They said public support "makes a real difference" and helps police take swift action when disorder is reported.
Residents are being reminded to report non-emergency anti-social behaviour by calling 101 or using the Avon and Somerset Police website. Anyone witnessing an emergency should always call 999.
Police added that people with concerns about ongoing anti-social behaviour in their area should continue to report them.
