Glastonbury roadworks for week commencing January 6

Coursing Batch, on the A361 in Glastonbury, will see two sets of temporary traffic lights this week.

On Monday January 6, there will be temporary lights from the Wellhouse Lane junction to outside of Melrose House to enable Western Power Distribution to trim some trees.

Then, from Thursday January 9 to January 13, there will be temporary traffic lights outside of number 1 Coursing Batch to enable Wessex Water to repair or replace a cover and frame.

Also on the A361 this week, there will be stop and go traffic control in Bere Lane on Tuesday and Wednesday January 7 and 8, for Wales and West Utilities work.

Other roadworks in Glastonbury this week include:

From Monday to Wednesday, Bristol Water will be working in The Archers Way to replace a leaking stop tap.

Bristol Water will also be at work from Wednesday to Friday January 10, in Wells Road to replace a leaking sluice valve and in St Dunstan's Close to install a talbot box and meter.

On Tuesday, Wales and West Utilities should finish their work in The Close to remove a disused gas service.

Western Power Distribution's work in Beckery to locate and repair a cable fault should be completed by Thursday.

Finally, the permit for scaffolding around the old HSBC building in the High Street runs out on Thursday.
