Glastonbury roadworks for week commencing January 27

There will be temporary traffic lights on the A39 on the edge of Glastonbury next week.

From Friday January 31 to February 4, the lights will be in place on Hartlake Straight to enable a sign post to be replaced.

Other roadworks in Glastonbury next week include:

There will be temporary traffic lights on Wells Road from Monday January 27 to Friday, to enable Bristol Water to fit a new connection.

Similar work will be done by the company under temporary traffic lights in the High Street from Monday to Wednesday January 29.

On Thursday January 30, there will be stop and go traffic control at the junction of Monington Road and Windmill Hill Road, for Western Power Distribution to do reconductoring works.

From Monday to Wednesday, Bristol Water will be repairing a leak in Lower Actis.

From Monday to Friday, Bristol Water will also be installing a new flow meter and wash out in Chalice Way.

The company will also be replacing a valve in Tythe Street from Wednesday to Friday.

Bristol Water will be completing a lot of works around the town next week as well, with its repairs to stop a leak in Wells Road due to finish on Monday.

Its work to install talbot boxes and meters in Ferryman Road, Manor House Road, King Street, Northload Street and Higher Actis should all be finished by Tuesday.

Leak repair works by the firm in Abbey Meads and Dunkerton Close are also expected to be completed by Tuesday.

Finally, Western Power Distribution's work to repair a cable fault in Old Wells Road is scheduled to be done by Thursday.
