Glastonbury roadworks for week commencing August 17

Part of Old Wells Road in Glastonbury is scheduled to be closed for four days next week.

The road is due to be closed to traffic from Monday (August 17) to Thursday (August 20) from the junction with Wick Hollow to the crossroads with Windmill Hill Road and Ridgeway Gardens.

It is set to be shut to enable BT Openreach to lay a polyduct in the pavement to increase fibre optic capacity to a cabinet.

Other roadworks that are scheduled to take place in Glastonbury next week include:

Bristol Water are due to be undertaking three days of work from Monday to Wednesday (August 19) in St Edmund's Road.

On Friday (August 21) Somerset Highways are scheduled to be replacing a streetlight in Dod Lane.
