The highly-anticipated event is back in full swing, and we can't wait for the exciting atmosphere that comes with it.

Scheduled to take place on Sunday 30th April 2023, this year's race is set to be bigger and better than ever before. The Glastonbury Round the Tor 10K Road Race is the day's main event, but there will also be a 5K, 3K, and even a Junior Fun Run race for the little ones.

Mendip AC organises the race and will start at 11:20 am. The Glastonbury Town Hall on Magdalene Street is the HQ where you can register before the race. Tickets are available on the RunBritain website, so sign up now and get ready to hit the road!

Road closures will be in place on Saturday, so please avoid parking on the High Street, Magdalene Street and Street Road, which will all be used for the start and finish areas.

The Abbey Car Park will also be inaccessible during the event from 9:00 am till shortly after 2:00 pm.

At 9:00 am, the High Street and Magdalene Street will close, while Fisher's Hill and Street Road will be shut off at 9:30 am. Local diversions towards Street are available through the relief road or via a signposted route across the levels from the top of Fishers Hill via Butleigh Road.

At around 10:00 am, the A361 at Edgarley, Chilkwell Street, Bere Lane and Cinnamon Lane will close in preparation for the races. Some limited access to Actis Estate from the moors road may be possible under extreme caution at the marshals' discretion.

Wells Road and Wick Lane from Tin Bridge will be closed to traffic from 11:00 am in preparation for the main 10K event. Wells Road, (as far as the High Street) will be re-opened shortly after the 10K has cleared around 11:45 am, while the hospital will remain accessible from Tin Bridge and Wick Lane will reopen once the runners have reached Edgarley, probably around noon.

Finally, Fisher's Hill, and Street Road will re-open once the final runner has reached the town centre, expected shortly around 1:00 pm. The A361 from Wick Lane through to the top of the High Street and Magdalene Street will remain closed until approximately 2:30 pm for the passage of the Glastonbury Dragons Parade.

So what are you waiting for? Get ready to join the action-packed Glastonbury Road Run and be part of a fantastic day filled with fun, fitness, and community spirit!
