As summer unfolds, Glastonbury is witnessing a surge in visitors, a precursor to the town's legendary festival season.

In response to the increased foot traffic and the corresponding rise in anti-social behaviour, local law enforcement is intensifying its presence.

The neighbourhood policing team has initiated additional patrols, notably including mounted officers, to monitor and manage the town centre.

"The influx of visitors each summer is a welcome boost to our local economy, but it also brings challenges," said a police spokesperson. "With the festival approaching, we're increasing our efforts to ensure Glastonbury remains a safe and enjoyable place for everyone."

These enhanced measures aim to deter potential disturbances and provide rapid responses to any incidents, ensuring that both residents and visitors can fully enjoy the town.
