Glastonbury firefighters helped tackle a blaze at a barn yesterday (October 10) that was caused by arsonists.

Just before 1pm, four fire engines from Bridgwater and Glastonbury along with a water carrier also from Bridgwater attended a report of a barn on fire in Holloway Road, Middlezoy.

The crews extinguished the fire using hose reel jets but the small building was destroyed by the fire. The police attended due to the cause of the fire being deliberate.
