There has been a second incident for Glastonbury firefighters to tackle in three days, as crews were called to a blaze this afternoon (May 31).

Devon and Somerset Fire Control received calls just after 2.15pm this afternoon to report a fence and shed on fire in a garden in Street.

Fire control mobilised one fire engine from Glastonbury and one fire engine from Street to the incident.

On arrival crews confirmed that there was a portion of the fence alight and used one hose reel and a thermal image camera to extinguish the fire and check for hot spots.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.

This follows a fire in Street that Glastonbury firefighters helped extinguish on Friday.
