Firefighters from Glastonbury helped to cut free a couple of casualties following a two-vehicle crash on the A39 near Moorlinch last night (June 10).

Just after 8.30pm, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Control mobilised two fire appliances from Street and Bridgwater along with the Heavy Rescue Tender from Glastonbury to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the A39 at Loxley Wood.

Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment and small tools to release two casualties from the vehicles.

The casualties were transported to hospital via land ambulance, and the police were also on the scene.
