A third person has been arrested as part of a police investigation into a fire in Glastonbury. Avon and Somerset Police said a man in his twenties was arrested on Thursday, 18 June, on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

The arrest follows a fire in Beckery New Road on Saturday, 13 June. Police said three caravans and a neighbouring building were damaged, but no one was injured.

The man arrested on Thursday morning remains in police custody. Two people were arrested on Sunday, 14 June, and have since been released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.

Officers are still asking anyone with information to come forward. Anyone who can help is asked to call 101 and quote reference number 5226163150.

Information can also be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. The independent charity says personal details are not taken and people who contact it will not have to speak to police or go to court.
