Two people have been arrested as part of the police investigation into a fire in Glastonbury on Saturday, 13 June.

Officers were called to Beckery New Road at 8.15 pm, where three caravans had been damaged by fire and a neighbouring building had also sustained damage.

Police said a man in his forties and a woman in her twenties were arrested on Sunday on suspicion of arson, arson with intent to endanger life, and assault of an emergency worker. Both have since been released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.

The investigation remains ongoing, and officers are urging anyone with information to come forward. People who can help are asked to contact police online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 5226163150.

Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or through its anonymous online form.

Police said no personal details are taken when contacting Crimestoppers, information cannot be traced or recorded, and callers will not have to go to court or speak to police.

A serious one from Beckery New Road: two arrests have been made after the caravan fire investigation. As ever, if you know something useful, this is the moment to tell police — not the group chat.
