Organisers of the annual Riders In The Sky charity event are appealing for raffle donations ahead of this year's event, which takes place on Saturday 24 August at Tor Leisure in Glastonbury.

The fundraiser, held in memory of Lee Baker, a local firefighter who died in a motorbike accident in Wells in 2010, raises money for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

Since its inception, the event has raised over £100,000 for the charity.

This year's appeal highlights a shortfall in donations, with some regular supporters unable to contribute. Organisers are asking for new, unused items such as gifts, toys, alcohol, and toiletry sets to be donated for raffle hampers. Businesses willing to contribute are also encouraged to get in touch.

The day begins with a £5-per-bike ride out at 10am, with sign-in from 9.30am at the main stage.

A family fun day follows from midday, featuring an auction, children's entertainment, refreshments and more.

Riders In The Sky was created to honour Lee Baker's commitment to fundraising, which included skydives and other charity challenges. The event continues his legacy by supporting a cause he cared about deeply.
