The Glastonbury Carnival 2024 has once again demonstrated the power of community, raising an impressive £22,747 for local causes.

The total reflects the spectators' generosity, the volunteers' hard work, and the creativity of the participants who came together to make the event a spectacular success.

Known for its dazzling carts, performances, and electric atmosphere, the Glastonbury Carnival remains one of the most cherished highlights in the town's calendar and a fitting finale to Somerset's renowned carnival circuit.

Despite a damp start to the evening, spectators lined the streets in their thousands to enjoy a parade that lit up the town with colour and energy. Local favourites Masqueraders, Wick, and King William CC wowed the crowds with their imaginative displays, while newcomers brought fresh energy to the event. Standout moments included Masqueraders' winning float Step Right Up, Ramblers' illuminated masterpiece Pinball, and Newmarket CC's humorous Tour de Somerset.

Funds raised from the event will support local charities and community projects, ensuring that the carnival's positive impact continues long after the floats are dismantled. Organisers have expressed their gratitude to everyone who donated and helped make the event a success.

As organisers begin planning for next year's event, the community is already looking forward to another unforgettable evening. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year's success—here's to an even brighter 2025!
